What's A City Group

A city group is made up of people who share similar interests, are in the same stage of life, or want to learn from each other. City groups follow a Church wide curriculum so that everyone is learning the same information together. People gather together in homes and coffee shops around the city to begin to build community and relationships with one another. This is the beginning stages of learning to do life together. The point is not what you meet about, it’s that you are regularly meeting with people and living in community as God designed you to do.

Why City Groups?

City groups have one, simple purpose-to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in community with others and only then can we experience the full life He intends for us. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find, and that’s why city groups exist- to make life-changting relationships relevant and accessible to you.

Why Should I Join?

It is through doing life together that our problems become smaller and God uses others to bring support and encouragement to our lives. Even when you might not realize you need it, your city group will quickly become a place where others don’t just know your name, but care about what is happening in you life and want to support you in your spiritual journey.

When & Where?

Groups meet throughout the year in three semesters. New groups start each semester making it easy for you to get involved at any time. Groups meet in a variety of places like homes, parks, restaurants, coffee shops and office buildings throughout Lincoln. Childcare options are provided for all Wednesday evening groups.

Growth Track is designed to introduce you to who we are as a church, our vision, our core values, and to help you connect. Through each of these events you will not only learn about Mercy City, but you will also discover much about yourself and the God-given purpose you were designed to fulfill. Childcare is always provided, no sign-ups are necessary, and jump in whenever you can! Growth Track events are from 10:15-10:45 Sunday morning at Dawes, and here is what you can expect each week:
