CITY GROUPS
What's A City Group
A city group is made up of people who share similar interests, are in the same stage of life, or want to learn from each other. City groups follow a Church wide curriculum so that everyone is learning the same information together. People gather together in homes and coffee shops around the city to begin to build community and relationships with one another. This is the beginning stages of learning to do life together. The point is not what you meet about, it’s that you are regularly meeting with people and living in community as God designed you to do.
Why City Groups?
City groups have one, simple purpose-to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in community with others and only then can we experience the full life He intends for us. Meaningful relationships can be hard to find, and that’s why city groups exist- to make life-changting relationships relevant and accessible to you.
Why Should I Join?
It is through doing life together that our problems become smaller and God uses others to bring support and encouragement to our lives. Even when you might not realize you need it, your city group will quickly become a place where others don’t just know your name, but care about what is happening in you life and want to support you in your spiritual journey.
When & Where?
Groups meet throughout the year in three semesters. New groups start each semester making it easy for you to get involved at any time. Groups meet in a variety of places like homes, parks, restaurants, coffee shops and office buildings throughout Lincoln. Childcare options are provided for all Wednesday evening groups.
Spring Semester begins the week of February 3rd. Stay tuned for more information.

Spring Semester City Groups Start February 3
The Last Arrow – Erwin McManus
Your roadmap to a life that defies odds and alters destinies. Discover the attributes of those who break the gravitational pull of mediocrity as cultural pioneer and thought leader Erwin McManus examines the characteristics of individuals who risked everything for a life they could only imagine. Imagine living the life you were convinced was only a dream.
Frequency – Robert Morris
God communicates with us in multiple ways, whether through the Bible, through circumstances, or even through a whisper. Morris demonstrates how we can mature from hearing His voice as sheep to hearing it as His friend to even hearing it as a prophet. When we begin to understand the general and specific ways God speaks to us, then we can begin to cultivate a life of deeper connection with our Creator.
Everybody, Always – Bob Goff
Goff takes readers on a journey into the secret of living without fear, constraint, or worry. The path toward the liberated existence we all long for is found in a truth as simple to say as it is hard to do: love people, even the difficult ones, without distinction and without limits.
Mercy Triumphs – Beth Moore
Scholars compare James to the prophet Amos, and resembles the Book of Proverbs than any New Testament book. Come along with Beth Moore on a journey to get to know both the man and the Book of James. You will never be the same again.
The Circle Maker – Mark Batterson
What impossibly big dream is God calling you to draw a prayer circle around? Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Batterson will help you uncover your heart’s deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer.
Men Are Like Waffles Women Are Like Spaghetti
While a man tends to deal with one problem or purpose at a time, a woman’s thoughts generally flow together. Once you discover how your spouse processes feelings and thoughts, you’re on your way to a happy and healthy relationship!
Fresh Air – Chris Hodges
Do you feel stuck in the doldrums of life? Fueled by the Spirit of God, Hodges offers energizing “breathing lessons” to help you redirect your course, better navigate your work, family life, and friendships, and sail on to become who God created you to be.
Blended and Blessed
Join us as we unlock the keys to step-family success as we unpack five keys that are crucial to healthy step-family marriages. With some of today’s most trusted and respected experts, Blended & Blessed will challenge, inspire, and encourage you.
The Daniel Dilemma – Chris Hodges
Christians today wrestle with their stance on contemporary issues including politics, gender identity, and marriage. How can we love those with significantly different attitudes and lifestyles without compromising our beliefs? Hodges reveals how to keep God’s standards high and his grace deep-just as Daniel and Jesus did.
She Is Free – Andi Andrew
We say we’re free in Christ, but many of us are still living in captivity–to fear, anger, shame, isolation, unforgiveness, and control. We’re good at faking it around others, but we’re exhausted by the ruse. Andrew wants women to break free of their self-imposed prisons and live the lives that are rightly theirs in Christ.
