Ice Breaker Question:

Sermon Overview: "Flourish: On Purpose"
The core message of this teaching is that we were created to flourish from the very beginning. We are not designed to be limited, fearful, or weak; instead, we were created on purpose, with a purpose, and for a purpose. To "flourish" means to grow and develop healthily and vigorously, which occurs when we are in a favorable environment. According to the sources, true flourishing requires understanding that we are image-bearers meant to reflect God’s character and that we must be planted in His House to receive the nourishment we need to produce fruit.

Discussion Questions
1. Understanding Your Design: The sources state that we are "image-bearers" meant to mirror God’s character and cause to all creation. How does knowing you were created on purpose and not "flippantly" change the way you view your value and your daily responsibilities?
2. Planted vs. Potted: It is noted that many Christians live "potted" lives rather than being planted in God’s House, which limits their nourishment. What are the practical differences between being "potted" (mobile and temporary) and being "planted" (rooted and committed) in a spiritual community?
3. Exercising Dominion: To flourish, we are called to have dominion, which is defined as putting natural things into heavenly order based on God’s Word. What is one area of your life where you need to "subdue" a path—moving away from the patterns of the world and toward the righteous steps God has ordered for you?
