WHAT CAN VOLUNTEERS EXPECT?

Volunteers can expect a high-energy, joy-filled weekend focused on helping kids connect to the Heart and House of God. From leading small groups and playing games to helping with snacks, worship, crafts, and check-in, every role helps create an environment where kids can spend time with Jesus and grow in their love for God’s Word. There will be a required training before the event so every volunteer can feel confident, equipped, and prepared to serve. Volunteers are also invited to help set up and prepare leading up to VBS WKND as they desire!

VBS WKND INFORMATION

What is VBS WKND?
Kids ages 5 through 5th grade are invited to get cooking with us this summer at VBS WKND! Kids will engage in joy-filled worship, enjoy hilarious skits, and learn the right ingredients for spending time with God. Along the way, they’ll create fun crafts, make delicious snacks, and play epic food-themed games! Our heart is for kids to connect to the Heart and House of God!
Will my child be safe?
Absolutely. Your child’s safety is one of our highest priorities. Every classroom is staffed with trained leaders and volunteers, all adults have completed background checks, and our secure check-in and check-out process helps keep kids safe throughout the entire event. We also have a dedicated Safety Team and First Aid Team actively patrolling the building during VBS WKND.
What about meals & snacks? Does my child need money?
Nope! Meals and snacks are provided, and your child will not need to bring any money. If your child has allergies or dietary restrictions, please make sure to include that information during registration.
How can I contact you?
You can reach out to our team anytime at pastors@mercycity.church.
Can my child bring a friend?
Yes! We would love for your child to invite friends to join the fun. VBS WKND is designed to help every kid feel welcomed, included, and connected.
What should my child bring?
Kids should wear comfortable clothes they can move and play in, and bring a water bottle (with their name on it) if they would like. Everything else they need for the weekend will be provided!
