OUR MISSION
As a church, we have found seven core values that, when focused on, can transform our hearts and minds to be more like Jesus . It is these 7 words that our 7 core values are based . Through this statement we understand we don’t have to search any further than his house, the church, to find Jesus . We exist to connect people to the Heart of God and the House of God - we do this by “Living the Seven .”
In Luke chapter two, Jesus’ parents lost him for three days . After realizing that he was missing, they looked everywhere for him, until eventually finding him in the house of God, the temple, teaching others about the word and the promises of God . Jesus said to his parents “But why did you need to search?” he asked. “Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

OUR VISION
Pastors Matt and Carrie Erikson have a heart for Nebraska and to see its people connect to the Heart of God and to the House of God. This heart for God & his people was never meant to start and stop with our Lincoln location, but grow across our state. They believe that this will be done by sharing the message of Jesus Christ in a fresh and relevant way. We believe that a building doesn’t make a church but instead people make the church. At Mercy City Church Everyone. Always. Belongs. The reach of the church goes beyond its four walls into the city and around the world where God has placed us.
The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. “When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, designate cities of refuge to which people can flee if they have killed someone accidentally. These cities will be places of protection from a dead person’s relatives who want to avenge the death. The slayer must not be put to death before being tried by the community. Designate six cities of refuge for yourselves, three on the east side of the Jordan River and three on the west in the land of Canaan. These cities are for the protection of Israelites, foreigners living among you, and traveling merchants. Anyone who accidentally kills someone may flee there for safety.

We do something called the 3 week challenge here at Mercy City. All we ask is that you check out Mercy City for 3 weeks and then decide if it is the right fit for you!
